Distribution

Every bulk bin, box or pallet is scanned so that we know which of our salmon went to which customer. That way, we can provide full traceability from egg to harvest.

These bulk bins or boxes are then loaded onto refrigerated trailers, the doors to which are secured with a safety seal for added security.

Throughout the journey, the temperature of the trailers is recorded and can be adjusted remotely if required to maintain product integrity.

Many of the trailers we use also have geo-fencing technology, enabling them to ping a text or email to the delivery destination informing them as to whether the fresh salmon is on schedule or delayed; an advance that has really come into its own during periods of adverse weather that can cause travel disruption.
