We’re recruiting for fish husbandry staff - trainee and experienced - to join our farm team at Spelve, Isle of Mull.
Experienced husbandry staff – Salary up to £24,137 + 1:3 weekend payments (Extra £4k per annum)
We're looking for candidates with a minimum of two years' practical salmon farming experience and a keen interest in building on that experience further, particularly with regards to fish welfare and net management. You should be able to demonstrate competence across a wide range of farming disciplines including fish health monitoring, stock appetite assessment, boat handling skills and certification with commercial endorsement, whilst also being proactive with regards to health and safety.
You should have the drive and ambition to further your career through training and development, which will be provided by the company. A formal boat qualification, whilst not essential, would be desirable.
Trainee husbandry staff – Starting salary £18,771 + 1:2 weekend payments (Extra £4k per annum)
We're also seeking candidates who are looking to take their first step in a career in salmon farming; ambitious individuals who are team players, understand the importance of health and safety, and who have high expectations for themselves and of their employer.
No prior experience is necessary as full training will be given, however a current driving licence is essential.
