Our long-serving and much-loved Marine Engineering Manager for mainland Scotland is leaving us to be closer to home. To fill his shoes, we're seeking an experienced engineer who's as gifted at leadership as they are at marine infrastructure.

About the role
Key to the smooth running of our farms is that they have the right equipment, along with trained and motivated staff who are competent in structured front-line maintenance. 

The Marine Engineering Manager has an instrumental part to play in delivering this, responsible for: 

  • Ensuring that our marine farm infrastructure and shore bases across our mainland Scotland region are suitable, safe, compliant and meet the Scottish Technical Standard
  • Leading and inspiring our team of talented engineers across the region
  • Planning, budget setting and overseeing costs for ongoing fleet, barge and pen allocations and servicing
  • Managing third party supplier relationships.

About you
To thrive in the role, you will have a strong engineering background and will currently be working within the aquaculture sector.

Committed to the highest standards of health and safety management, you will have an eye for detail and the energy to continually reassess what’s most important.

Already a proven team manager, you will be able to demonstrate leadership and excellence in all aspects of the role, and will be able to communicate openly, honestly and with ease at all levels in all formats.

A current driving licence is also essential for this role.
