We’re recruiting for a Deckhand for our service vessel the Lonabrak in Shetland. 

About the role
The Lonabrak will provide vital support to our Shetland marine farms assisting with a varied range of tasks including moorings, fish health treatments, net changing, feed supply and distribution.

About you
Applicants should have at least two years’ practical experience within a marine environment and be committed to the highest standards of health and safety management and demonstrate excellence in all aspects of fish husbandry including fish health and welfare, feeding optimisation, containment, infrastructure maintenance and skilled seamanship.  You will also be required to ensure that the vessel is cleaned and maintained to a high standard.  Candidates will be Day Skipper qualified (or equivalent) and ambitious enough to pursue a Yacht-Master Coastal. A full clean drivers’ licence is also essential.

You will have the drive to succeed, a well-developed sense of pride and the ability to inspire others.  Gifted communication skills are essential and your ability to plan ahead will be matched by close attention to detail.
