Marine Farm Fishnish A and B

On Thursday 29 June, whilst working on the farm, the Fishnish team were graced with a visit from two bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus).
The dolphins swam past the Cal Mac ferry slip and accompanied the fish farm boat from Fishnish B farm to Fishnish A. A member of the team went ashore to pick up a camera and, as it was pointed in their direction, the dolphins began to perform - as if on cue.
The pair stayed within the vicinity of the farm, swimming and playing for the remainder of the day - a beautiful sight for those who witnessed it. Truly a testament to the wonderful environment that our farms operate in and the bond that they share.
On reporting the sighting to the Hebridean Whale & Dolphin Trust in Tobermory, we understand the pair spent much of Friday and Saturday in Tobermory Bay.
